🩺 The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment opens its new facility in Fort Lupton to serve the community and focus on disease prevention.

This is a great opportunity for adults and children to receive free vaccinations. They will also accept people who are facing health insurance barriers to care and will charge only a $21 administrative fee.

🏥 Weld cuts ribbon on Fort Lupton health center

Officials gathered June 23 to cut the ribbon on the new health department office in the Fort Lupton Southeast Service Center. The Fort Lupton Health and Environment is not a primary care provider; it is a public health department that provides specific clinical services of public health significance.

It’s about preventing diseases in kids and adults through free vaccinations. In addition, the health department will provide a mobile service to travel into neighborhoods to provide these services.

🪣 Fort Lupton urges keeping water bucket handy on July 4

The Fort Lupton Fire Protection District sends a message to the community urging participation in the Bucket Brigade.

With the 4th of July coming up, Fort Lupton Fire’s Lt. Randy Cleveland has a message for Fourth of July revelers this year: keep a bucket or other water supply handy just in case to help ensure a safe celebration amid these dry conditions.

🧨 Police urge residents to avoid personal July 4 fireworks

Fort Lupton Police Chief releases message for a safe 4th of July.

Police Chief William Carnes reminds everyone that most fireworks are prohibited in Fort Lupton. The city follows State law regarding fireworks.

Permissible fireworks include cylindrical cone fountains, wheels, ground spinners, illuminating torches and sparklers, dipped sticks, snakes, poppers, and glow worms.

Prohibited fireworks include cherry bombs, bottle rockets, missiles, roman candles, mortars, and aerial repeaters: Essentially anything that shoots into the air or explodes.

The Aims Community College student on their study abroad trip at the Cliffs of Moher in the Republic of Ireland.

Students who participated in the first-ever student study abroad program to Ireland will share their educational experience through photos in the Study Abroad Student Showcase.

🔥 Aims confirms Fire Service program reaccreditation

Over the past 20 years, Aims Community College has been educating students in its Fire Science programs and has received reaccreditation from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). 

The International Fire Service Accreditation Congress reaccredited Aims Community College’s Fire Science Program, allowing the school to continue to educate future firefighters.

🩺 Weld County free Health and Wellness

Last day for the Weld County Health and Wellness fair, on Saturday, June 27th, hosted by the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, offers free community health and wellness fairs focused on chronic disease prevention.

Health department staff and partner organizations provide a variety of free screenings and connect residents with programs that support overall wellness. Located at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center, 203 So. Harrison Ave., Fort Lupton, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

🎆 Fort Lupton American Birthday Bash and Going Country for the 4th of July

The Fort Lupton’s America Birthday Bash, will be celebrated on Saturday, July 4th.
Brush off the cowboy hat, dust off the cowboy boots, and come enjoy the 4th of July at Community Park, located at the Recreation Center, 203 South Harrison Avenue, from 3 PM to 8 PM.

The Eric Golden Band, Ryan Chrys, and the Roughcuts will entertain with country music and two-stepping. There will be food trucks, vendors, a beer garden, prizes, and bouncing houses. Fun for the whole family.

🥖 The Fort Lupton Chamber Luncheon

The Luncheon will be on Wednesday, July 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. sponsored by Saucedo Fields. Come and have lunch and network with the community and businesses located at Outpost Calvary Chapel, 1190 N. Denver Ave., Fort Lupton. Tickets foir Chamber members are $20 and walk-in registration is $25.

🛍 Fort Lupton City Wide Sale from July 10 through July 11

👗 Fort Lupton Goodwill Drive

Fort Lupton Goodwill Drive donation station will be set up on July 11 during the community sale yard sale.

As part of Fort Lupton’s annual garage sale, Goodwill will be hosting a donation drive.
So if you are looking to clear out your home and donate items to the Goodwill’s mobile donation station which makes dropping off items quick and convenient.

🍇 Weld Food Bank Summer Feeding Program

It started on May 26 and runs until August 7. Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All kids under 18 and under eat free at Fort Lupton High School, 530 Reynolds St., Fort Lupton.
